Chapter 5: The Weight Within

“Some days I float. Some days I fall. But through it all, I write.”

There are days I carry joy like sunlight in my chest.

And there are days I feel like a cloud passing through my own life.

I’ve known sadness, the quiet kind that doesn’t show.

I’ve felt anxiety tighten its grip when no one else could see.

But I’ve also laughed without reason, felt peace in prayer, and found comfort in small, ordinary things.

I don’t always understand my feelings—but I respect them.

Because they lead me to the page.

And when I can’t explain them, I write them into poems.

This chapter holds what I often keep hidden.

The weight, the wonder, and the truth of simply being human.

In a Man’s Life

A lonely soul traps in an empty room,

Trying to escape from this dark gloom;

How will the light shine to guide him forward,

He never realized that he was losing all his cards.

He looks up to at the sky and closes his eyes,

Bends to his knees and sends a prayer to the skies;

Saying: “Lord, please show me the way,

And be with me every single day.

My Journey

I feel like an eagle flying to the sun,,

A stallion that is on the run;

I feel the air is blowing me away,

Telling me I can make it through the day.

My life is a river flowing down the stream,

Striving hard to fulfill my dreams;

Time has always been a friend,

Forgetting bad memories until the end.

Crash and Burn

A book with an empty page,

A bird trapped in a dreary cage;

You thought life was full of meaningless tears,

But you need to strife and do your best.

You have to take the risk and learn from it,

Don’t let yourself get burned and get hit;

Go with the flow as life takes its course,

You might be surprised when you find open doors.
